ECAQ Industry Awards
Industrial Project of the Year 2010
On Friday night 05/11/10, Whelan Electrical Services were awarded the "Industrial Project of the Year" by the Electrical Contractors and Communication Association of Queensland for our installation at Pump Station MF01 Morayfield.
This pump station was one of the largest we have constructed and was performed for our client Queensland Concrete and General Construction.
We supplied and installed 4 x 55 kW pumps and adjacent pipework, 800 amp submains, switchboard, PLC, SCADA upgrade, instrumentation, building and site light and power and building air conditioning
Whelans Fun Day 2007
In May 2007, Whelans held one of their ongoing "fun days".
After previous outings go-karting and raly driving, this time the staff voted for a day of Deep Sea Fishing.
A great day out was had off Mooloolaba aboard the "Crusader 1" from Fish and Crab Charters.
The eskys went home full of fish and crabs.
Unitywater
New Contract
Whelan Electrical Services has just been awarded a large contract with Unitywater (Southern Region) formerly Moreton Bay Regional Council to supply and install 19 switchboards to the newly developed standard. This project includes minor civil works and plumbing alterations performed by our sub-contract team.
Vocational Award Winner

Scott Turner
Our school based apprentice Scott was recently awarded "Vocational award for best apprentice for 2011" at St John's College Nambour Awards Night. Scott is now a full time apprentice with us and is sure to be a valuable member of our team.
