This project consisted of three pumps delivering drinking water to Gatton and two pumps for Laidley water supply. A P.L.C. controls variable speed drives to maintain a consistant pressure.

Whelans supplied and installed all above ground pipework, valves, pumps, switchboard and supporting platform.

The Water Quality Salinity Pump Station delivers a high volume (600 litres per second) of sea water to Pelican Waters Lake System from Pumicestone Passage to maintain a high water quality beyond the lock and weir system.

Beach Mileu Estate and Hughes Road Bargara were both projects for Strano Enterprises of Bundaberg.

Hughes Road is a major transport Pump Station and included the supply of a transportable generating set.

Whelans performed a full mechanical / electrical design for a variable speed booster pump station for a high level zone. The installation incorporated in-line submersible pumps.

A logistically challenging project was the installation of submersible pumps in the crocodile inhabited Nicholson River at Burketown, Far North Queensland.

A vacuum sewer pump station was a first for Whelans. The installation was performed for M&K Pipelines and included a telemetry system to monitor the vacuum valves.

Hervey Bay has been a large growth area for Whelans in recent years and numerous water, recycled water and waste water pump stations have been completed for Wide Bay Water and local civil contractors.

Whelans have completed numerous switchboard replacement projects for Gold Coast City Council over the past years. 

In 2007 a total of 16 switchboards were replaced.

The Salinity Pump Station for Kawana lake features two axial flow pumps delivering 1700 L/S to the Parreara Lake system to maintain water quality.

Whelans have completed several similiar pumping projects for Kawana Estates and Stocklands.

Our company was responsible for the complete design and installation of a high tech hydroponics facility including 800 AMP main switchboard.

As sub-divisions expand to the north, Whelans have expanded their service area to in clude these projects.
